Engagements are customized to fit client goals and no two are exactly alike.
Project fees are charged hourly and billed monthly; occasionally, retainer-based client relationships are possible.

Growth StrategyClient engagements often focus on how to start generating revenue or how to grow existing revenue streams. Operations Planning and ImplementationSpringboard works with clients to assess their needs for staffing, software, outsourcing, policies and procedures and real estate within the context of their business goals. Operations projects include assessment, planning and implementation support as well as project management as needed.

Business CoachingAcross their engagements and often afterwards, Springboard clients may choose to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly or on an ad hoc basis to review performance, reset goals and priorities, create task lists, troubleshoot issues and discuss ongoing strategy. Coaching provides clients with both accountability and support within the context of a trusted advisor relationship.
Approach
Catherine works collaboratively with clients and can provide as much or as little hands-on work as required depending on clients’ in-house capabilities and skills and their desire for assistance as well as their budget.
Her goal is to empower others as much as possible in the process of working together.

Strategic advice/coaching:
Some clients benefit most from a strategic advising relationship with Springboard. In regular meetings, we can think through long and short term issues, review performance metrics and create accountability for action steps.
Project management:
For when you need to ensure that a project gets done in the most organized and efficient way possible, Springboard will help you create a project plan and then manage the steps along the way so that nothing falls through the cracks.
Full implementation support:
Springboard can provide full implementation support for certain types of projects. Finding, evaluating and managing outsourced providers; transitioning to new software platforms, creating email marketing or website content; researching and implementing new software; evaluating real estate opportunities.
About
Catherine (Olson) Schirmeier is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Springboard. Her career in consulting has included direct client service and professional services firm management at consultancies such as The Advisory Board Company and CEB (now Gartner).
Catherine’s expertise spans functional areas including human resources (recruiting, compensation, benefits, leadership training and development); finance (managing outsourced accounting partners, budgeting, planning); enterprise software implementation, marketing (market research, RIVA-trained focus group moderator, content development, competitor research, price benchmarking), sales strategy and operations.
Catherine has an MBA from Harvard Business School and earned a BA magna cum laude with honors in philosophy and english from Colgate University.
